Franz Liszt International Airport Budapest

Budapest is easily accessible thanks to Wizz Air's scheduled flights from 35 European countries. Connection between Budapest Airport and downtown
Buses (service No. 200E) run from/to Budapest Airport and Terminal 2 to/from the Kõbánya-Kispest the metro line 3 terminal. Buses run frequently (every 5 minutes in the middle of the day and every 10 minutes mornings and evenings.)
Trains run every 30 minutes from the Nyugati (Western) train station to Budapest Airport. It is the 4th stop on the routes heading to Cegléd or Monor.)
Note that the train station is at the old terminal 1, now only used for cargo flights. From here passengers need to jump on a 200 bus to complete the last 5.5 kilometres (3.5 miles) to Terminals 2A and 2B.
The official contractor of the Budapest Airport is Főtaxi, a Hungarian taxi company that transports passengers between terminal 2A / 2B and Budapest.
Főtaxi drivers speaking at least one foreign language and drive large, modern (less than five years old) category ‘A' cars.
Reservations can be made in person at the Főtaxi booths located at the exits at Terminals 2A and 2B. At the taxi rank in front of the stands, taxis queue up to wait for passengers.
From 1 September 2013 new taxi regulations were introduced in Hungary regulating the price and the appearance of all taxi companies.
The prices (including VAT) of the taxis are at a fixed tariff of 280 HUF/Km (0.95 EUR/Km) in addition to the one-off base fee of 450 HUF (1.50 EUR) and waiting fee. The meter rules, but a ride to the city centre will typically cost around 6500 HUF (22 EUR) depending on traffic conditions.
According to the new rules, all taxis have to be equipped with credit card terminals, and they should be a standardized, yellow colour.
If you are travelling on your own, it is cheaper to use the Airport Shuttle service, which has a desk at the airport. Tickets can be purchased at the arrival customs area or at the LRI Airport Passenger Service desk in the waiting area.
