Budapest Airport is the main aerial gateway to Hungary, which serves more than 9 million passengers a year. The airport is owned by a consortium of Canadian, Singaporean and German investors, and has undergone a 330-million-euro investment and modernization program during the last eight years. The centerpiece of the development is the SkyCourt, a new, state-of-the-art passenger facility which serves all departing passengers at Terminal 2, regardless of their airline or class. Budapest Airport not only offers a vast range of duty free products, but also a world-class shopping experience through its Hungarian product and souvenir range and international fashion and accessory brand shops. Budapest Airport also offers a Fast Track Lane service through passenger security, airline lounges and a special MasterCard Lounge for premium MasterCard holders.

In 2014, Budapest Airport offered 88 major destinations through 38 airlines, including Wizz Air, Ryanair, Lufthansa, KLM, Air France, Norwegian, Germanwings, easyJet, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines, Aeroflot, Swiss International and many others. These airlines offer connections to every major hub in Europe, including London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Paris, Rome, Munich and Copenhagen.

The airport of Budapest is located just 16 kilometers from the city center, and offers a wide range of ground transportation connections to downtown Budapest, including taxies, shuttle buses, public buses and trains (from Terminal 1). All major car rental companies are present at Budapest Airport. If you wish to come to the airport by car, you can pre-book you preferred category of parking online just 12 hours prior to your arrival.
